Eeden's Priest Builds Empty

Yeah, finally getting around to this. Ever wondered what I use as raiding builds? Here ya go.

Shadow: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priest/talents.html?tal=0502300130000000000000000000000000000000000053252010051123051551

This is my normal build, it fits both PvE AND PvP, with the Improved Fear and the Silence. Don't underestimate that particular talent (slience), saved me on a few occasions. Take points out of Shadow Focus as you get more Spell Hit rating, and start putting them into Absolution/Mental Agility and working down that list. I don't pick up Improved Mind Blast because of the fact that a Shadow Priest has a spell PRIORITY as opposed to a spell ROTATION... if Vampiric Touch isn't up 100% of the time, you aren't doing your job. DPS isn't your job, being a Mana Battery -is-.

Similar build to the same above, difference is this is what I'm using atm. Notice the 4/5 in Shadow Focus (I've 120 spell hit unbuffed, having 5 points puts me at 3.5% over spell hit cap), and I have nothing in Fear/Silence, allowing deeper into the Discipline tree to pick up Mental Agility. 1 point in Absolution for cheaper dispels and to get down TO Mental Agility.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Holy: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priest/talents.html?tal=0512300130400000000000135050030302150530051000000000000000000000

This is the Holy spec that I use if I'm picking up Circle of Healing (also called "CoH"). Healing Prayers is a nice talent for the 20% reduced mana cost of Prayer of Mending, which ALL healing Priests should be using EVERY 10 seconds. That spell is godly... no Lightwell or Holy Nova, those are personal preference though. I personally don't find either of them practical (Dax has made good use of Holy Nova though!) 1 point in Absolution or Silent Resolve, either one is appropriate. Mental Agility again here is a must due to the mana cost reduction of Renew (which is a Priest's bread and butter) as well as the FURTHER reduced cost for Prayer of Mending, and a reduced cost of Circle of Healing. Only 1 point in Healing Focus on this build because in most of T4 level raiding, healers aren't taking a lot of damage that would cause spell pushback.

Holy/Discipline: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priest/talents.html?tal=0512300130500120000000135050030302150530020000000000000000000000

This is also called the Divine Spirit (aka "Imp DS" or just "DS") build. This one isn't as effective at healing, but the Spirit buff can be very useful, however you only want one healing priest on this talent per raid as it doesn't stack. CoH is overall more effective, but having one specced like this isn't bad. More than one and you're gimping your healing. Most of the same talents and rules apply with this build, some points can be placed elsewhere for personal preferences. I've seen builds that will run 3-points into Silent Resolve instead of Improved Power Word: Shield, but my personal recommendation is that you don't even -need- to have points into Silent Resolve.

----------------------------------------------

Discipline: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priest/talents.html?tal=0502303130505120001451135050030300000000000000000000000000000000

I personally haven't put much time in Discipline, but this is what I feel would be a good PvE raiding build for a Discipline Priest. Silent Resolve and Reflective Shield are interchangeable, but overall I find Reflective Shield to be just better. This is mainly for utility, this doesn't have the best in heals however. You pick up Power Infusion, which is nice in certain situations (put it on a Warlock during the Terestian Illhoof encounter, it's capabilities in that situation are massive!) Pain Suppression isn't good for a tank, but it can have usage again in certain situations. In a fight where agro is nothing even close to a problem, then it can be used on a tank, and as long as the raid is watching their threat, can be done regularly in case of emergencies (like during Prince Malchezzar's second phase) to save an almost-dead tank. This build also has a lot of PvP in it as well, due to the high survivability, just replace Reflective Shield with Focused Will and Improved Mana Burn over Enlightenment (so you can get farther down the Holy tree to maximize the heals).
